My Story: Why Do I Write?I learned at a young age that everything in this world has a story. I was moved by this idea and fascinated with, well, absolutely everything. Because of this newfound knowledge, I also discovered that I had things to say.
Even as a little kid, I was drawn to the art of writing. Was I any good at it? Absolutely not. Did I consider myself a writer? No. But I wrote tons of stories and stapled countless folded papers together throughout my younger years. It wasn't until I finished high school and started college that I actually took my writing seriously and realized that I could be a writer. I began to study, practice and read more than I ever had before. Finally, I decided to take the leap. If you've discovered that you also have something to say, some story to tell, do it. Don't listen to the people who doubt you, because you have the power to write the stories within you. On this website, you will see a variety of posts, because storytelling has many forms. I hope you enjoy, and above all... tell your story. |

About the Author
WRITING
Breyanna I.L. Evans is the author of several published works. She has independently published YA fantasy and fiction, children's stories, poetry and short stories, and romance, with more books always in the works. Breyanna does all the writing, formatting, graphic design, marketing, and most of the editing for her books. She also creates her own maps and interior graphics, and she has recently started supporting other indie authors in their own publishing endeavors.
In her writing, you can expect magic, twists and turns, themes of light and dark, adventure, and positive messages.
INFLUENCES
Throughout her life, Breyanna has always enjoyed reading a wide variety of text, and has drawn inspiration from authors like J.R.R. Tolkien, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Edgar Allan Poe, Tricia Levenseller, Brigid Kemmerer and more.
HIGHER EDUCATION AND WORK
After graduating with her bachelor's degree in creative writing, Breyanna taught middle school and high school English, and absolutely adored teaching all aspects of the English language.
She now works as a reading intervention specialist through the University of Utah Reading Clinic hoping to help educators, parents, and struggling readers enhance their skills. She has also had the pleasure of working on a team to write, illustrate, develop, and publish an entire set of phonics readers.
HOBBIES
In her free time, Breyanna loves to travel! She enjoys watching movies (fantasy or scary ones, mostly), painting, drawing, writing, reading, playing Dark Souls, teaching her son how cool the world can be, and
