I live in a world 
where strange things are normal
people with rainbow skin and silver hair
grow in numbers every day

They’re just people, but more

So much more
But who am I to judge? 
Who are we? 
We grew up in families that were “normal” 
and swept any color they found 
under the rugs and into the closets
so that everyone else 
in our black and white worlds
wouldn’t fuss
