In autumn, leaves catch fire and fall from home
as I have fallen here, and here I'll stay, lest wind should catch a hold and whisk me up away from this condemning, dirty ground. It may be that I'll find my way to spring after the winter's cold has melted through. And I, having survived the lonely hours, the dark and icy nights where moonlight hides... should travel on and bud with bursts of green toward warmth and sunshine. I will stretch and yawn, and summer will adieu with last embrace. But autumn will resume its restless chase. - Accidentally External: A Poetry and Short Story Compilation Breyanna I.L.
